Boulder Community Hospital“LEED®”ing the way in design of health care. Boulder Community Hospital is the first hospital in the United States to be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Certified. We recently completed the 262,000 sf Foothills Campus for the hospital that features three levels of cast-in-place concrete flat plate design with a composite steel beam and concrete slab roof. The structural design was “fast track” to meet a tight construction schedule with structural documents substantially complete at the end of design development.
